Another site I frequently link to in my articles is Betty’s Toy Box. It’s another site that’s reputable if you want to have a lewd time with your lover, or with yourself.

However, beginners may want to learn more about this site, as many unanswered questions exist. Like, who is Betty, and does she really have a giant box of toys?

Okay, you probably have more legitimate questions, like “Is this site legitimate?” or “What is their return policy?”

Betty’s Toy Box was founded in 2014, meaning it has over 10 years of experience. Also, I mentioned in my previous deep dives that 2006, being nearly 20 years ago, makes me feel old.

The mid-2010s being a decade in the rearview mirror makes me feel like a dinosaur.

Like Lovehoney and similar sites, it was founded as a more inclusive adult store that lacks the seediness of a male-dominated “XXX” store you’d see on the interstate lit up at midnight.

But unlike Lovehoney and SheVibe, the founders are all women. A man founded Lovehoney. SheVibe was founded by a husband and wife.

Betty’s Toy Box was founded by one woman: Carolyn Eagle.

So, it wasn’t Betty who founded Betty’s Toy Box. Well, the aesthetic of the site does answer this mystery.

It takes inspiration from pin-up girls in the 1940s and 1950s, with Betty in the picture resembling Bettie Page, a model most popular in the 1950s.

Which I do dig. The 1950s had their share of problems, but what I do like are the models that broke boundaries and the general playfulness of the era.

You know, this store makes me want to go to a diner, sip on a drug store soda, and dance to some Elvis when I put a nickel in the jukebox.

Who Are The Owners of Betty’s Toy Box?

As of right now, it appears that Carolyn Eagle is still the owner of Betty’s Toy Box, and the about page also mentions that her sister runs it as well.

In fact, the whole family seems to be involved, including her children, nieces, and nephews.

When you think of a family business, you may think of a bakery that has been a downtown favorite for over 100 years, not a sex toy shop.

But I can dig it. I believe selling sex toys is an honest business, and honestly, more honest than some businesses out there!

Does Betty’s Toy Box Sell Quality Sex Toys?

Betty’s Toy Box sells nothing but high-quality toys from reputable brands. They sell dildos, vibrators, strap-ons, lubes, novelty gifts, and much more.

While they do sell toys from reputable brands, your mileage may vary with some of their products.

But like most reputable sex toy sites, Betty’s Toy Box has a reviews section on each product page.

Here, reviewers will tell you what they liked or what they hated about each sex toy.

Overall, I would say that Betty’s Toy Box is a mid-range store. It offers some lower-budget toys, such as those under $40, but the prices don’t get extremely cheap.

You won’t find Lovehoney-branded products here.

Yes! Like most sex toy sites, Betty’s Toy Box frequently offers sales on its products. While browsing their merchandise, I noticed that some products are on sale for 10% off or more.

On this page, you can find some discounts. Currently, there aren’t many deals available, but this will change depending on the time of year.

However, the store does not offer super significant discounts. I saw one product that usually costs $24.99 is now on sale for $21.99.

I know this site has the 1950s aesthetic, but three dollars doesn’t go as far as it did during that decade!

Additionally, the site is visually vibrant and boasts a modern-retro aesthetic. I really can’t complain about the user experience here!

Payment Method – Returns & Refunds At Betty’s Toy Box

Betty’s Toy Box offers several payment methods for those who prefer options beyond the standard credit or debit card. For example, you can pay via PayPal, Shop Payor Google Pay.

While it doesn’t have as much as its rivals, that’s good enough for me.

Again, I appreciate being able to splurge and use PayPal Credit or their Pay in 4 option, which allows me to pay it off later without interest as long as I make the payment on time.

I swear I’m not trying to advertise anything here; I just like the option!

Now, let’s talk about their return and refund policy. Like SheVibe, this one’s a bit disappointing when compared to Lovehoney’s more generous policy.

You’ve made an order, and it’s been processed, but you’ve changed your mind? Too bad. Can’t cancel it. You don’t like the toy? Well, “Given the intimate nature of our products,” they can’t accept returns.

On one hand, I get this, since even if you clean it off, reselling a used dildo isn’t sanitary.

However, Lovehoney does have a policy in place that allows for a one-time refund if you’re not satisfied with their products. Also, this includes never-opened items, which I don’t get.

There are exceptions, of course. If you receive a defective item, you can contact them within 15 days to request a refund or replacement.

Of course, defects are rare. So be sure that the product is right for you.

Every product page should include its measurements and other relevant details in the listing, allowing you to decide if it’s a good fit (both figuratively and literally) for you.

Does Betty’s Toy Box Have Discreet Packaging?

Yes! Like all of the other sex toy sites I’ve reviewed, Betty’s Toy Box will send you your order in a plain brown box or envelope.

The sender’s name will just say “Shipping Department,” giving a nosy neighbor, family member, or roommate no clue as to what you have ordered.

Unfortunately, there is no option to further protect your delivery, unlike SheVibe, which offers the option for signatures on your packages.

However, if you contact your local shipping service, I’m sure something can be arranged. If you live with someone super nosy, I’d say ship it to your friend’s or get yourself a P.O. Box.

Especially if you’re someone who gets weird gifts from folks, like me.

Does Betty’s Toy Box Have Discreet Billing?

Like the other sites, Betty’s Toy Box has a discreet name on your billing, but it may depend on what payment method you use.

I have not tested all of the paying methods, as I’ll be honest, my bank account is on the low side. But what I did use seemed discreet.

Obviously, you should tread lightly when reviewing your billing statements, especially if you share an account with someone.

Granted, there aren’t many reviews on the site, but those who have reviewed it love the quality of the products they received.

Betty’s Toy Box has high ratings in its loyalty programs, its eCommerce rating, and brand popularity.

Sadly, these ratings don’t have any further elaboration, but we guess it has something to do with their return policies.
