I’ve written a lot about Lovense toys recently, but I haven’t really touched much on their male masturbator lineup.
Men, and people assigned male at birth, also need some love — no shame in using a masturbator for your penis, or experimenting with a little prostate play.

For this post, I’m looking at a great starter bundle for smart male toys: the Lovense Gush 2 and Edge 2 bundle.
Is the bundle worth the price of admission?
Also, what are the differences and similarities between the products?
Is there a reason you may prefer a different bundle? I’m here to answer all of those questions.

Overview of The Lovense Gush 2
The Lovense Gush 2 is a penis masturbator, but it’s a little different from your standard Fleshlight. This masturbator is hands-free and wraps around your penis.
It can fit most sizes well, and even works for flaccid cocks. Like most Lovense products, it can be connected via the Lovense Remote app and can sync to adult videos.
It’s an upgrade over the Gush 1 in several departments.
It has adjustable straps, a quieter motor, and several other ergonomic upgrades. Also, new oscillating patterns that will make your penis melt.
In other words, there isn’t much reason to get this toy over the Gush 1.
The original Gush was groundbreaking for the time, but it doesn’t fit most penises as well as the Gush 2 can.
There have been a lot of improvements to the Gush 2, and it shows.
Overview of the Lovense Edge 2
The Lovense Edge 2 is also a male toy, but it’s a little different. Well, a lot different. This toy is a prostate massager.
For males, the prostate can be a source of powerful orgasms. With its adjustable arm, you can easily find and massage your prostate without any discomfort.
Also, that feature makes the Edge 2 compatible with more body types!
The Edge 2 also boasts two motors, one in the arm and one in the base, for maximum stimulation.
So, how’s it different from its predecessor?
It has double the battery life and is much more ergonomic. The original Edge was pretty infamous for having poor battery life, but luckily, the Edge 2 fixes that issue.
What Are The Main Differences and Similarities Between The Gush 2 and Edge 2?
The Gush 2 and Edge 2 are both toys meant for the male sex, and both have compatibility with the Lovense Remote App.
Another similarity is that both toys are made from body-safe silicone. This material means it’s easy to clean and non-porous.
The toys are also both IPX7 waterproof. This rating means that your toys won’t get damaged if they get wet. You can submerge them in your bath for up to 30 minutes, and they’ll be as good as gold.

However, they are pretty different. The most glaring difference is the intention. The Gush 2 is intended for a penis.
If you want to enhance your masturbation or have your partner tease you, the Gush 2 works wonderfully for that.
Meanwhile, the Edge 2 is for prostate play. If you’re a little hesitant about putting something in your butt, you may think twice before getting this.
However, you should still try it. It’s pretty accessible!
One significant difference is that the Edge 2 can still be enjoyed by those without a prostate.
No matter your sex or gender, anal stimulation can hit the perineum, causing several orgasms.
So, while this toy is excellent for a solo male or a gay couple, it can also work well for a hetero couple, too.
The Edge 2 is also much better for public play; on the other hand, the Gush 2 may be better suited for home use.
But because they are so different, they can also be used together easily. I’ll talk a little more about that later! For now, let’s look at a handy dandy comparison table.

What Are the Benefits of Using the Gush 2 and Edge 2 Together?
The benefits of using these two toys together are immense. As I said, they are both intended for different areas of the body.
The Gush 2 can stimulate the penis, while the Edge 2 hits the prostate.
Many who have tried to use these two together have reported erupting orgasms that leave them shaking on the ground.
Combining the Gush 2 and Edge 2 is great for masturbation or for couples.
For masturbation, this bundle helps to enhance your orgasms and lets you experiment with prostate play.
With a couple, using these toys together can let one partner take control and the other be the receiver of pleasure.
Alternatively, one person can use the Gush 2 and the other the Edge 2!
These toys are also fantastic when used together for someone with ED. The Gush 2 can wrap around a flaccid penis quite well.
Hell, you don’t even have to have ED. If you’re like most men, you may cum one time, but have a refractory period.
But when you use these toys together, you may have another orgasm. And another.
Some men will feel like they did when they discovered masturbation for the first time all those years ago.
Of course, both toys also work together separately.
You and your partner may use one of each, or you may be in a horny mood and both together may cause too much of an orgasm. In that case, you may choose one or the other.
Also, when using them together, note that the battery life is quite similar, with a 10-minute maximum difference.
However, you must remember that battery life can significantly vary depending on the power used.
So ensure that both toys are charged to their fullest whenever you use them.
Also, try to use them at equal power. However, you can mix it up if your session isn’t going to be that long!
How to Use the Gush 2 and Edge 2 in Public and Solo
So, are both toys suitable for public play? The Edge 2 is a much better public play toy than the Gush 2.
It’s not super loud, especially on lower levels. If you’re in a busy place, the Edge 2 can fit comfortably inside of you while a nearby partner, or someone across the world, controls it.
However, the Gush 2 is a little more problematic. If you have ED, I suppose you can wrap it so there won’t be a noticeable bulge.

But if you get hard, people are going to know. Maybe a quickie in the restroom, but only if the stalls are absolutely empty.
As for solo play, that’s relatively easy. You connect both toys to your app, then control them individually or as two separate apparatuses.
A partner can control it, or you can. The toys work pretty well for watching videos by your lonesome, or as a way for your fans to make you squirm!
In both situations, ensure the toy is fully charged, cleaned properly, and correctly stored when not in use.
These factors will ensure good hygiene and a long life for the toy.

Why I Recommend Getting The Bundle
If you’re in a queer relationship, or you are a male and want to enhance your masturbation, this bundle is great.
I love it because it targets two separate areas, meaning there’s never going to be interference. And both toys work well at their job.
With that said, let’s talk about some reasons why you might not want to get the bundle. You may not like it if you’re unsure about anal play. I’d recommend getting a cheap anal toy first, then upgrading down the road.
Another reason you may not want to get the bundle is if you’re on a tight budget. Both toys cost $99 each, and together, they total $198. So you’re not saving anything.
Sometimes, $10 off coupons are available; if you find one, you might be able to save. But the savings aren’t a whole lot. In your case, you may want to buy each one separately.
Besides those factors, I feel this will be a crowd pleaser for most in its target audience!
However, if you’re not quite feeling the bundle, Lovense has many other bundle combinations you can try.
For example, if you’re in a hetero relationship but are curious about butt stuff, the Gush 2 and the Lapis can be great combinations.
The Lapis is Lovense’s strapless strapon, so it’s perfect for pegging. Honestly, if you have the money, all three work well.
The Edge 2 can be a way to get you to open up and prepare for the Lapis. But no matter what you choose, the Lovense bundles will enhance your sex life in many, many ways.
